The 1930's paved the way for Modern Swimwear!

I felt that this was an essential post since I am in the process of launching syncorswim or syncswimwear.com. My swimwear line will embodied the essence of Greek and Roman Mythology by having each bathing named after a sultry Greek Goddess. Also, I am incorporating hardware such as seashells, mermaids, seahorses, beads, pearls all coming from Bali. Which Goddess will express your style?

Many styles from the 1930's are still popular today with the high waisted bottoms and the more flattering fit. Embracing the curves and the contours of the Women's bodies, the 1930's brought into the forefront of bathing suit styles the exposed midriffs and cutouts. Another 1930s swimsuit innovation was the baring of the back for the first time. My swimwear line will pay homage to all the 1930's bevy of bathing beauties.

All Hail McQueen!

I could not imagine letting London Fashion Week pass by without paying tribute to the late  and great  Alexander McQueen, who was a London Town native. While the McQueen brand will live on through the creative direction of Sarah Burton. It it this Leather Studded Jacket that will remind everyone of his extraordinary talent. Printed and embossed with a stud effect, then left with a fine finished with antique gold hardware and zip detailing, it is an investment piece that is truly fit for royalty. Are you in love? I know I am.  If this jacket was in my closet-a girl can definitely dream- I would pair with jeans and a t-shirt, knee high boots or a pair of converse. If you want to make it more feminine, you can wear it with a lace dress and black louboutin pumps.

Availability: Alexander McQueen Studs Leather Jacket ($5135). For additional retailer information, visit Alexandermcqueen.com.

Forever21 Collaborating With Brian Lichtenberg to create Gaga's epic Caution Tape Shirts

Forever 21 is following in the footsteps of Target they've decided to hook up with L.A.-based Brian Lichtenberg to create a collection of T-shirts and tank tops. Droping August 13, the pieces will cost $14.80 - $14.90, including a  version of the caution tape outfit he designed for Lady Gaga in her Telephone video. The collection will be available in 200 Forever 21 stores and will include a total of nine women’s and three men’s pieces. Lichtenberg said he designed the collection with style and a budget in mind: It is going to be for the customer that is younger and has seen my work on celebrities and musicians, but doesn’t have the money to plunk down for my main line. This is definitely going to be a great opportunity to be on a more global scale.”Brian hopes that this venture will garner his own label more attention.According to Women's Wear Daily, "Lichtenberg's geometric cutout jewelry designs, draped cotton tops and edgy stage costumes have made him a favorite of the music set, including performers like Rihanna, Beyonce, and Keri Hilson.

Stars' Tony Awards Style

The 64th annual tony awards held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City was all about poised and polished fashion. Fashion nods go to Scarlett Johansson, who wore an stunning emerald green ella saab gown, definitely chosen knowing she would win for her peformance in Arthur Miller's A View From The Bridge would land her a tony.

Another nod to Catherine Zeta Jones, who wore an powder blue Versace gown, looking absolutely stunning. Daniel Radcliffe will always pull off the put together Harry Potter Look, while I wish Ricky Martin had clean up his scruffy red carpet look. Another one of my favorties was Lea Michele of Glee in an show stopping marigold Zac Posen Gown.
