Chanel Spring/Summer 2010 rtw collection

The ready-to-wear collection from Chanel as part of Paris Fashion Week. The fun and flirty show held at the Grand Palais will be an event to remember with the barn theme. The models stepped out from the fashion barn with straw in their hair and clothes. The crafty couture collection represented everything from hopsack to basket weaves to aprons, peasant poppy prints, and fantastic wooden double-C clogs. Beige, ivory, and black; rough textures; transparency and lace had a perfect balance of classicism and current fashion trends. All the girls look natural in the in the little thigh-split skirts  the bottom half of the Chanel suit), as well as in the  ruffled dance dresses. This show once again, was a Chanel triumph.

Shoe Overboard!

I love this Alexander McQueen shoe. It's the Titanic Ballerina pump and it's from his spring and summer 2010 shoe collection. Alexander fuses masculine and feminine with utilitarian hardware and the soft pink leather. These shoes are made complete in the back with a heel that is masterfully crafted out of what appears to be a spoke spare parts. You can pair these celestial stunners with a pair of jeans and a tank or even a skirt.
